ModWright was founded in 2000 as a company producing modifications to digital products. The mods were cost-effective, yet high quality alternative to the audio enthusiast.
Born from this, our Truth series of modifications, utilizing tube analog stages, won ModWright worldwide acclaim and led us to the next step: building own equipment.
The 9.0 series of preamplifiers was introduced in 2003, continuing the trend of high performance audio with an emphasis on quality and value. This included a phono preamplifier and later a balanced tube linestage, the LS 36.5. In 2009 we proudly released the KWA 150 amplifier to round out a complete ModWright Electronics system.
We have continued on this path of building high quality and high value audio equipment, designed to provide the most natural and satisfying musical experience.
We pride ourselves as much on the quality of our work as on our level of service and customer satisfaction.

Transporter Truth mods
- Complete re-design of the analog stage featuring tubes from the 6cG7/6FQ7/6BG7/6BQ7/6N1P/6h30 family for easy tube rolling. The volume control is still active in addition to all of the digital and analog inputs and outputs.
- RCA and balanced outputs are now sourced from the new analog stage. The balanced outputs utilize custom wound output transformers from electroprint.
- The tube output stage features an internal, tube rectified power supply based on the technology from our preamplifiers, using 5u4/5v4/5ar4 compatible rectifier tubes.
- Output stage produces output levels sufficient to drive most amplifiers directly. The mod was voiced and designed with our LS 36.5 linestage between source and amp.

Oppo BDP-83 and BDP-83SE Modification
This is a FABULOUS mod for an exciting new player.
Others are 'modifying' the player with upgraded connectors and parts, but few are re-engineering the analog stage and upgrading the power supplies the way that we are. When we get done, you will have a TRUE UNIVERSAL player with stereo and (7) out of 7.1 channels all upgraded with our proprietary discrete mosfet analog stage circuit featuring zero global feedback and NO op-amps. All analog stage circuits will be fed via our own internal dedicated power supply.
The sound is open and resolving and the bass is rock solid!
Oppo has hit one RIGHT out of the park this time and we are happy to boost its performance from the ballpark right on out to the atmosphere!
